Blessed are the pure in heart
Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God

The pure in heart are those who have internal purity. Their hearts, minds and thoughts are pure or clean without any evil and malice.

Philippians 4:8 says
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.

The bible has given us a long list of things that should occupy our thoughts. It is difficult to stop your mind from wandering but you can stop yourself from concentrating on certain issues by chatting with a friend on phone discussing the sermon at church on Sunday or on social media. You could also listen to christian music or watch christian movies.

As a student you can keep yourself and thoughts pure by staying away from pop music, romantic novels and late night outings. Spend time reading the bible and christian literature. Instead of going to a night club, you can attend a gospel music concert etc

At work spend your free time or break time listening to gospel music or sermons and praying if you can find a place where you will not disturb anyone.

As a minister or ambassador for Christ make sure your one-on-one witnessing and counselling is not done late at night in a place with no other human activity.

The bible says we should strive for holiness because without holiness or purity we cannot see God. ( Hebrews 12:14)
