Give for the work of God
Malachi 3:10
Bring ye the tithes into the store house, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall be room enough to receive it.

The verse above clearly states that the work of God or church activities like winning souls and building-up the faith of old Christians requires money.

The tithe which is 10% of your weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly wages or income is very important for ministry work.

Sometimes, it is very difficult to give the 10% because you have so many financial responsibilities. But learn to sacrifice and give as it is required

Then like the verse from Malachi says, God will open the windows of heaven and bless you abundantly.

As a student learn to give 10% of your pocket money no matter how small it is. The amount is not very important, it is the act of obedience that God blesses. There is a parable in the bible Mark 12:41-44 where Jesus appreciates a widow’s small offering instead of the big ones given by the rich. He said the rich gave out of their abundance but she gave all she had.

For the worker , the amount counts because, workers receive salaries and wages which is normally much higher. With workers the problem is giving the full 10%, which is sometimes high. This reminds me of the story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5 who lied about their offering. Even if you do not give the full amount do not lie about it. Be sincere to God and your friends

Not much can be said about the tithe of men and women of God because the sincere ones have a meager income. However, they should give out of their need and they will be blessed
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Reflect on your offering and tithe at church. Are you giving what is genuine?
2. If not make a decision today to do the right thing

Prayer
Faithful God, thank you for the gift of this day. Bless me so that I can be a blessing to the church and others
Amen
