Hold unto your faith
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised
Our faith is our belief and trust in God as the one and only true God who has saved us from the snares or grip of the evil one.
Ephesians 2:8-10 says
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that is not if yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them
The passage defines the terms of receiving our faith and what we are expected to do with it. It is free and we are expected to do good works.
However, there are times in life when it is difficult to remain true to our faith.
As a student you have been very zealous for the Lord, sharing the gospel through music, drama etc. Exams are drawing near and you have not studied much, do you cheat in order to pass?
Learn as much as you can in the short time left and pray for God to help you. God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can think or ask…..(Ephesians 3:20)
Your company needs money badly to complete several orders. Do you cut down the portions of materials needed for each order and compromise the quality? Do everything as blameless and innocent children of God…..(Philippians 2:15)
Use the right proportions of materials and produce as much as you can. God will reward your faithfulness by miraculously opening doors for more funds e.g. making some clients who owe you pay debts.
Or your church needs instrumentalists badly. Do you pay to train new ones or poach from other churches? Ask, and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock ..(Matthew 7:7) Pray for God to help you put in place a plan to train instrumentalists and ask professional instrumentalists to help train your youth.
In whatever you do, do not compromise your faith, remain faithful to God.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Try and recollect situations where you were tempted to compromise your faith.
2. If you compromised your faith, pray and ask for forgiveness and pray for grace and strength to remain faithful to God
Prayer
Let this be your desire and prayer
If I live a holy life
Shun the wrong and do the right
I know the Lord will make a way for me
Amen
