Return to the Lord
Hosea 14:1-2
O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Take with you these words, and turn to the Lord; say unto Him, take away all iniquity and receive us graciously…..

The hope of every christian or believer is to spend eternity with God in heaven, the city of God.

The Prophet Hosea was sent by God to warn the people of Israel of the punishment coming their way if they do not repent of their sins and return to Him.

In the last chapter of his book, chapter 14, he shows the Israelites how to return to the Lord and the benefits they will derive from it.

The Prophet Hosea directs the people to ask for forgiveness and mercy in the passage quoted above.

Another verse in Hosea 6:1 says

Come let us return to the Lord , though He has torn us apart, He will heal us…..

Meaning, no matter what happens to us even if we disobey God and we are punished, when we return or go back to the Lord for forgiveness, He will restore what we have lost.

As students, workers and ambassadors for Christ our utmost desire should be to please God in all we do. However, if we err or disobey God by cheating to pass our exams or do not perform our duties efficiently but do it anyhow, let’s pray for forgiveness and ask God to give us grace and strength to be the best we can be in all we do
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your activities in the past week. Where did you go wrong? Ask God for forgiveness and pray for grace to excel in the coming week.

Prayer
Ponder over the words of this hymn

Come ye that love the Lord
And let your joys be known
Join in a song with sweet accord
Join in a song with sweet accord
And thou surround the throne
And thou surround the throne

We are marching to Zion
Beautiful, beautiful Zion
We are marching upwards to Zion
The beautiful
City of God
Amen
