What does the Lord require of you?
Micah 7:8
He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with the Lord

A requirement is a condition or proposal you have to meet before you can gain access to a job, a training program or the blessings of God.

The verse above gives details of the conditions God expect us to meet in order to enjoy our relationship with Him.

He wants us to:
– Do good
– Be just
– Be merciful
– Walk humbly with the Lord.

How can we meet all these requirements? The bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6 that

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart. And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

As the verse above says, if you trust the Lord fully and completely relying solely on Him for direction, He will help you meet His requirements.

As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ, learn to commit everything you do- your studies, your job, your ministry, your family etc. Into God’s hands. Then depend on the grace of God to be good, just, merciful and humble and the good Lord will make you successful in all you do.

1. Reflect on your activities in the past week. Pray for grace and strength to meet God’s requirements and excel in all you do in the coming week.
