The hidden man
1 Peter 3:4
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price

The verse above tells us not too lay to much emphasis on our outward appearance but to spend time building the “inner man ” or “the hidden man”

It also states that God
Is more interested in us developing a meek and quiet spirit which cannot be destroyed by the cares of this world.

Most of us spend all our time grooming the outer man. We buy clothes, shoes, bags, go to the latest salons and grooming shops for men and completely neglect the inner man which rather has eternal value.

It is important to spend our time and money building the inner man through prayer, bible study, fasting and personal praise and worship time.

Isaiah 40:31 says
They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they will run and not get weary, they will walk and not faint.(paraphrased)

Suggestions for success
1. Set time apart each day to have your morning devotion, pray and have a personal time of praise and worship.
2. Set time at least once a week for bible study
3. Set time each month at least once a month to fast and pray.
4. All these things will develop your inner man.

Meditate on the words of this song

Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me
All His wondrous compassion and purity
Oh thou spirit divine
All my nature refine
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.
