We must forgive
Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
To forgive is to release someone from a grudge you hold against him or her for hurting you.
The verse above admonishes Christians to forgive one another as Christ forgave us.
Part of the Lord’s prayer, found in Mathew 6:12 says
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Meaning, it is very important to forgive in order for our sins to be forgiven as well.
It is difficult to forgive but if you do not forgive:
– You block your blessings. The bible says before you take communion you have to settle your differences and let go of grudges (1 Corinthians 11:26-28)
– You block your own forgiveness of sin from God ( Matthew 6:12)
-You lose a friend or relation( Matthew 5:23-24)
Beloved in the Lord, let us learn to forgive no matter what it takes. Mathew 5:9 says
Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Learn to live at peace with all men ( Romans 12:18 )
2. Try and remember all those who need forgiveness from you. Go and make amends with them.
Prayer
Think about the words of this song
Give them all, give them all
Give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts
Broken thoughts
Give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrow into joy
Amen
