For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain
Philippians 1:21
For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain

It is very difficult to live strictly according to God’s will. Not only because our weaknesses as humans prevents us from being completely faithful.

There is also another major reason that prevents us from living strictly according to what the bible says. Peer pressure or the pull him down syndrome.

If I cannot be completely faithful to God then no one else can. I will pull him down even before he or she can excel.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says
Everything that is happening in the world today has happened before. There is nothing new under the sun.

In the new testament there is a story about Peter and some other fishermen toiling all night at sea and catching no fish. They were mending their nets and getting ready to go home when Jesus steps in and asked them to cast their net. ( Luke 5:4-11)

Peter who was the leader said, we have toiled all night but caught no fish but at thy word we will cast our nets. I believe Peter’s men we trying to stop him but he used his Vito power as the leader.

We need more leaders like Peter today, leaders who are able to say with the Apostle Paul that if I live, I live for you and if I die, I die for you (Christ). Leaders who will be able to stop the pull him down syndrome and compel tired and discouraged christians from destroying others who are trying to live according to the Lord’s will no matter the cost.

We have a more important assignment to fulfill apart from our studies and careers. To fulfill our ministry as ambassadors of Christ.

Let us lay aside every weight or hindrance like jealousy, envy, malice and pride which tries to pull us back from fulfilling our ministry and help one another to fulfill the Master’s will for our lives. ( Hebrews 12:1-2)
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your life. Ask God to take away any weight or hindrance that prevents you from fulfilling your ministry

Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song

If I live
I live for you
And if I die
I die for you
In all my ways
I am ever yours
If I live
I live for you
Amen
