Worship in spirit and in truth
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him, must worship in spirit and in truth.

The Good News version of this scripture says:

God is Spirit, and only by power of His Spirit can people worship Him as He really is.

1 John 4:20 says

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Human relations are predominantly based on what you see. You love that lady because you like her smile and looks. Or you love that gentleman because he is handsome etc.

The closest image we have of God is our neighbor. This is confirmed in Genesis 1:27 which says:

God created man in His own image.

If you cannot love your neighbor, you cannot love or worship God truly.

Worship is deep respect paid to God. Our worship is acceptable to God when it is done truly or genuinely from the heart.

As you worship God in church or on your own, put off phones, TVs and any other distractions and set your mind and thoughts on God.

This will deepen your worship and relationship with God and enable you do exploits.

1. Find time at the end of each day to reflect over your activities during the day and thank and worship God for His goodness.
