Together we win
1 Samuel 18:1
As soon as he had finished talking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
The friendship of David and Jonathan is the greatest friendship of all time. The verse above said even before they spoke their souls were knit together.
The NIV translation of the verse above replaces the word “knit” with ” one in spirit”. Meaning, they loved each other so much that they were willing to sacrifice for the welfare of the other.
This is the relationship that should exist between christian brethren. We must realize and accept that it is only when we are one in spirit that we can work effectively to win souls for the kingdom of God.
Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, maintain and build close relationships with christian brethren that will enhance your ministry and improve your performance at school and work.
For instance if you have prayer partners you can pray for success in your studies and career.
Proverbs 22:6 gives a message that implies that:
The family that prays together, stays together
Matthew 18:20 says
Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over you daily activities and personal relationships.
2. Identify relationships you can develop that can enhance your performance in ministry, school and work.
Prayer
Let this song be your prayer
Sometimes it’s hard
For me to understand
Why pull away from each other
So easily even though
We are walking the same road
Yet we build dividing walls
Between our brother’s and ourselves
But I, I don’ t care what label you may wear
If you belong with Jesus
You belong with me….
You are my brother
You are my sister
So take me by the hand
Together we will work
Until He comes
There’s no foe that can defeat us
When we are walking side by side
As long as there is love we will stand
Amen
