In your presence I am content!!
Psalm 100:4
Enter His gates with Thanksgiving in your hearts and His courts with praise……
To be ”content ” means to be satisfied or pleased. Therefore, the phrase, “in your presence I am content” means, you find satisfaction in the presence of God. How can you get into the presence of God?
In the verse above, the Psalmist says, he will enter His gates with thanksgiving and his court with praise.
When you go to a palace, you can get into the king’s presence by entering the gates and going into his court, or his official place for receiving visitors.
In the same way when you want to get into God’s presence you need to use thanksgiving and praise to usher you into His presence.
Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, you cannot be successful in your circular job( as student or worker) or your ministry as an ambassador of Christ if you do not dwell constantly in the presence of God.
Start and end each day with thanksgiving and praise. Psalm 91:1-3 says
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the most high. And I will of the Lord He is my refuge, and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust.
Be content in the presence of God and He will strengthen and help you succeed in all you do. ( Isaiah 40:31)
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Cultivate the habit of having a praise and thanksgiving time every Sunday to prepare you for the coming week.
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
In your presence, I am content
Lord in your presence
I am content
In your presence
There is joy
Expressions of you love
And revelations of your power and might
In your presence I can bring
A gladsome offering
I ‘m in the presence of my king
Amen.
