The whole duty of man!!
Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:Fear God, and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man

A requirement is something needed or wanted in order to gain access to a service, or blessing from God. Duty is a moral or legal obligation.

The ” whole duty of man” therefore is our legal and moral obligation to God.

In the verse above, our whole duty as humans is to Fear God ( give God the due respect and precedence in your life) and keep His commandments ( obey God’s commands in the bible).

Scripture says in John 15:7 that

If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done unto you

Meaning, if we fear God and obey His commands, God will grant us whatever we request for.

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, as you go through life’s journey and fulfill your mission, always remember that when you perform or fulfill your obligations to God, He will cause you to triumph in all your endeavors ( 2 Corinthians 2:14)

1. Commit the coming week into God’s hands ask Him to help you overcome the challenges you were unable to overcome in the past week.

Meditate on the words of this hymn

When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His word
What a glory
He sheds on our way
While we do His goodwill
He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey

Trust and obey
For there is no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey.
