Awake!
Ephesians 5:14
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light

If someone says, “Awake” , it means you are asleep. When you are asleep you are unaware of what happens around you.

In the verse above, the Apostle Paul is trying to draw our attention to the fact that, we are unaware of what is happening around us spiritually.

We need to become aware of the fact that:
– The coming of the Lord is nearer than when we first believed
-We are growing old as parents each day and we need to prepare our children to take our place in the workforce and churches
– Young people need to be prompted to come to appreciate the fact that they are next in line as parents, workers and ambassadors of Christ.

As we teach the youth at home, school, workplaces and churches we need to make them aware of their responsibilities.

The youth need to move away from their close association with social media( they waste a lot of time on this), some of the things they view and read are helpful but they spend a lot of time on pornography, occultic information, yoga etc which could be very harmful to their development.

As a student and youth, decide to spend less time on the harmful information on social media and spend more time reaching or preaching the word of God to your friends and peers( Matthew 28:18-20)

Some workers also waste a lot of time on social media engaging in issues that are not beneficial to their employers. As a worker spend time on social media looking for information that will enhance your work output and lift the image of your company. Remember to present the message of salvation to your colleagues at work. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says
In all that you do , do all to the glory of God.

Suggestions for success
1. Spend time reflecting on what you do each day at school , work or in church.
2. Think of how you can use your free time reach day and win souls through social media as you are at work or school and you cannot move around talking to people.
3. When you make all these plans Christ will give you light by showing you exactly what to do

From thy sleep and Christ shall give thee light

It is time to wake from thy sleep
Time to look up to God
For help and direction
