Count it all joy
James 1:2-3
Count it all joy when you pass through various trials. For the trying of your faith worketh patience

It is unusual for someone to tell you to count it all joy ( rejoice) when you pass through various trials. Trials are not pleasant experiences.

Imagine someone asking you to rejoice when you cannot pay your rent and you are being ejected from your house.

But that is what the bible says. It also says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 that:
In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

In bad times you are thanking God not for the trouble but for the victory He will give you in order to glorify His name.

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, learn to thank God even when you cannot seem to understand a course and excel in some examinations or you work so hard yet you cannot seem to excel in your career or you put in so much effort and you cannot win any souls.

Continue doing your best and do not give up on your faith that you will excel. Keep thanking God for the victory and it will come to pass in the fullness of time.
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your life. Identify the areas in which you are weak.
2. Pray and thank God That you will excel to glorify His name in those areas of your life.

Prayer
Think about the words of this song

I’ve had many tears and sorrows
I ‘ve had questions for tomorrow
There were times I did not know right from wrong
But in every situation
God gave me blessed consolation
That my trials come only to make me strong

So I thank God for the mountains
And I thank Him for the valleys He’s brought me through
Oh if I never had a problem
I’ll never know that God could solve it
I will never know what faith in His word could do
So I say that..

Through it all
Through it all
I’ve learnt to trust in Jesus
I’ve learnt to trust in God
Through it all, through it all
I’ve learnt to depend upon His word
Amen
