Rejoice not over me!
Micah 7:8
Rejoice not over me oh my enemy. For when I fall I shall rise. When I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me ( paraphrased)

In the verse above the Prophet Micah tried to console those who had been humiliated by the community through no fault on their part. He was also defending those who had fallen into sin. Why?

Because the Lord will be their light or help. A perfect example of the Lord being the light for those in darkness can be found in the book of Esther, chapter 5 to chapter 7

Haman hated Mordecai and jews so much that he made a perfect plan ( according to his human wisdom) to kill Mordecai and eliminate all the Jews in the kingdom.

He built gallows for Mordecai to be hanged, invited the King and queen to dinner etc. He also planned for his own elevation in the kingdom

But God through Queen Esther brought deliverance to Mordecai and the Jews. The plan to kill and elevate himself backfired. Mordecai was elevated in his place and the Jews were free.( the Lord was a light in their darkness)

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ do not fear or lose hope when you are persecuted for spreading the gospel because:
– Matthew 5:11 says you will be rewarded greatly
– Job 19:25-27 says your redeemer liveth and He will make a way
God be with you

Suggestions for success
1. Never renounce your faith in God or give up on your mission of spreading the gospel because of persecution. 2. The Lord will not let you fall
3. Reflect over how you can adjust your plan of winning souls in spite of persecution.

Prayer
Let this song be your prayer

I will look up to the mountains

When I find no place to hide
The one who made the heavens and the earth
Will hear my cry
He will come to help me
And He will not let me fall

When by troubles you are bound

The Lord will come to help you
