Grace for the journey
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound in every good work.

Grace can be simply defined as unmerited favor or unconditional love. ” Grace for the journey” presupposes that life is like a journey and God will provide all we need, material things like food, water, clothes etc., emotional things like love, comfort etc., and spiritual things like hope, faith etc.

All the things listed above provided by God are unmerited favors because we do not deserve them.

Do we pray, read the bible, share the gospel and live as we are required to in the word? The answer for most of us is , NO. Yet God never withholds these favors from us.

The Good News translation of the verse above says:

And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, God has already given you all you require to excel. All you need to do is to tap into this wealth of grace through prayer.
Matthew 7:7-8 says

Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be open unto you: For everyone that asketh, receiveth, and he that seeketh , findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
