When I remember what the Lord has done!!
Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower
The righteous run into it and are safe.
The verse above says the Name of the Lord is a form of protection to Christians. When you call upon the name of the Lord in the time of trouble, it activates the power and presence of God to shield you from all danger.
When you say “When I remember what the Lord has done” it pre- supposes that you might be in need of help
– Provision of food, water and shelter
– Provision of emotional needs like comfort, peace, joy etc.
– Provision of spiritual needs like faith, hope trust etc.
In such times you tend to look out for people you can turn to. Instead of turning to humans like you, call unto the Lord.
Remembering testimonies of what God has previously done in your life will increase your faith and trust in the Lord.
Whilst the Israelites journeyed through the desert from Egypt to the promise land
– When they were in need of food, they remembered how God took them through the Red Sea safely on dry land
– Then they ask Moses to speak to God on their behalf and God always provided what they needed
In the same way, as a student, worker and ambassador of Christ, you may have needs, you do not know how to meet
– As a student you may need money to register for your final examination when your family may be broke
– As a worker you may need funds to pay for courses to improve your skill, during times when your family may have many other needs
– As an ambassador for Christ you may not know how to present the Gospel to certain classes of people
In such times remember that the God who has kept you until now will make a way.
Call on the Lord through prayer ( Jeremiah 33:3)
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Call on the Lord through prayer at all times.
Song for meditation
Let this song be your confession and prayer
When I remember
What the Lord has done
I will never go back anymore
When I remember what the Lord has done
I will never go back
Anymore
So many things have happened in my life
But they can ‘t take me away
For Lord you have been my strength and my song
I will never go back any more.
No, no, no, no
I will never go back anymore
Amen
