Build Your House on The rock

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man which his house upon a rock.
In the verse above, Jesus is complaining those who obey His commands to someone who builds his/her house on a rock. Why?
If you do not build your house or life (in this context) on a rock which has a firm foundation the storms of life will pull your house down or destroy your life.
The ‘rock’ in this context is referring to Jesus when you accept the gift of salvation and you build your life on the word of God.
How do you build your life on Jesus, the rock of our salvation? You must
- Accept the gift of salvation

Accept the Gift of Salvation
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born unto us a Son is given! And the government shall be upon his shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
According to the verse above a child has already been born (Jesus) with all the attributes and characteristics described in the verse above. An exceptional child, born through Immaculate Conception His life, death and resurrection has brought salvation to all humans.
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith… it is a gift of God… God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
This verse says the salvation that came through the death and resurrection of Christ is offered freely to us (It is a gift of God.
Romans 10:9-10
… For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
All we need to do to receive salvation is to believe with our hearts and confess with our lips. Then we receive salvation.
As simple as that no and for human or animal sacrifice.
Study the word
Joshua 1:8
This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Morning, a successful life comes from studying and meditating on the word of God and obeying it or putting it unto practice.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to show thyself approval unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
In this verse Christians are being advised to study the word of God thoroughly. Have it imprinted in your heart and mind such that you can easily repeat it without using the bible.
Your study all the important verses like
- Romans 6:23 – for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
This verse explains clearly why we need salvation. Without salvation, we will reeve appropriate punishment for our sins – death or eternal suffering in hell.
- Psalm 23:1- The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
Salvation makes God our soul provider and guide. He is able to provide all our needs, physical spiritual and emotional.

Pray Without Ceasing
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
An open invitation from God, to call unto Him through prayer morning, dawn.
Anytime, anywhere and any number of times He will answer or respond to our requests.
Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto will all perseverance and supplication for all.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing
These two verses from the New Testament highlight the importance of praying at all times.
Our adversary the devil is working 24/7 to snatch more people into His Kingdom of darkness. We need to pray constantly.
Conclusion
If you accept the gift of Salvation, you are building your life on the “rock”, Jesus Christ.
Prayer and study of the word and putting it into action will hel you complete your house or succeed in life.
