A charge to keep
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives , and the opening of prison to them that are bound.

The term “,a charge to keep” means you have a mission to accomplish or a calling to fulfill. Isaiah 61:1 gives a detailed description of the Prophet Isaiah ‘s charge or mission.

Every child of God has a mission, to win souls using the gifts and talents God has given you.

We will give an account of what we did to fulfill our call when we stand before God in judgement.

Hebrews 9:27-28 says:

It is appointed unto man, once to die and after that judgement..

Use your gifts and talents wisely.

John 21:17
He said to have m the third time, “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto Him, Lord thou knowest all things, thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, “Feed my sheep”.

This verse from the new testament show us how God reinstates Peter after he betrayed Him

Many of us have betrayed God in one way or the other. But God is a God who always gives a second chance.

Show God you love and appreciate Him by fulfilling your mission and being faithful to Him
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1.Pray and ask God to give you the grace and strength to fulfill your calling.
