Awesome God
Isaiah 40:28-29
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength.
One of the dictionary definitions for “awesome” is to be excellent. Our God is indeed excellent or awesome in all His ways.
Take a look at the things He created all around you. The sun always shines when it has to and the moon and stars never fail to give light when we need it. The sea and rivers know their boundaries and they do not overflow to destroy the land and those living on it. Man is the most amazing creature because He created us in His image. We are not destroyed in spite of our sins and unfaithfulness. I could go on and on to elaborate on on the Lord’s excellence and greatness. Can you appreciate the great and awesome God we serve now?
Revelation 1:8
I am the Alpha and Omega, says the Lord God. Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
The verse above continues to describe God’s excellence. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He always was and will forever be. Let’s keep trusting this great and awesome God.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. If you believe God is awesome, then give Him the honour, praise, thanks and worship He deserves.
2. You can do this each day through prayer, songs and living a life that will please Him ( obeying His commands without complaining).
Prayer
Great and awesome God, you indeed deserve all our praise, worship and adoration . Help me live to please you at all times. Amen.
