Be grateful
Psalm 95:2
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms.
In life, there are two major types of people:
– Optimists, who always try to see the bright side of everything. They believe there is a silver lining behind every cloud
– Pessimists, who never see any good thing in their life. Even blessings to them are inappropriate because they believe nothing good can come out of their lives.
The bible encourages us to be optimists. In James 1:2-3 we are admonished to rejoice even in trials because it makes us better people.
In the verse above the Psalmist says we should come to God always ( time is not specified) with Thanksgiving and make a joyful noise.
It does not matter whether you are in good times or bad times, just make a joyful noise and thank God.
Even in the worst situation thank God and make a joyful noise like Paul and Silas did when they found themselves in prison and in chains for preaching the gospel.
Acts 16 says whilst they praised God there was an earthquake that broke their chains and opened their prison doors. It also gave them an opportunity to present the message of salvation Acts 16:31.
Always remember to thank God and praise your way to victory in difficult times.
Learn to be grateful always
2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ…..
This verse from the new testament directs us to thank God because He always causes us to triumph in our endeavors.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Make praise and worship your greatest weapon in spiritual warfare
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the holy one
Give thanks, because He has given Jesus Christ His Son
And now let the weak say
I am strong
Let the poor say
I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us
Give thanks
Amen
