Be instant in season and out of season
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to them that are bound.

Sometimes you might have to present the message of salvation, comfort the afflicted with the word or rebuke and set someone on the correct path without prior knowledge or without preparation. You should be able to say something appropriate. As you have your quiet time each morning, memorize the scripture reference so you can refer to it and share with someone. It is also important that you have personal bible studies to learn more from the bible you can refer to when necessary.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season and out of season, reprove,rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.

To be instant in season and out of season means be prepared to preach the word at all times, whether you have been told to prepare or not been told to prepare. To be able to do this, read and study the bible frequently.

1. You can write down scripture references from your quiet time or bible study in a small notebook you can keep in your handbag for ladies and pocket for gentlemen.
