Be still
Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

As human beings we are tempted to worry or fret when our plans do not yield the expected results. But in the verse above we are being adviced to be still (stop worrying and fretting). God can turn things around around if we would trust Him. He has a master plan for everybody’s life and we need to seek His approval in all we do.

Mark4:39
And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, PEACE BE STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

This verse assures us that God is able to calm every storm in our lives and resolve every problem. But we have to “call on Him” like the disciples did. Let’s learn to be still in the midst of our challenges because God has the power to calm every storm.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Remember Philippians 4:5-6 when in trouble. You must not be anxious but commit everything to God in prayer and He will make a way.

Everlasting Father, thank you for the gift of another day. Help me to trust in your power and might at all times. Amen.
