Be still
Psalm 46:10
Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth

“Be still” means stop fretting and worrying. Stop fighting or cheating just to make it and listen to God.

In the verse above, the Psalmist says stop fretting and worrying. Stop trying to make it by your own strength. Realize and accept the fact that I am God I can prove Myself.

The bible says in James 1:17-18 that
Every good and perfect gift comes from God….
with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning

Meaning, with God there is no need to do trial and error. He knows exactly what He is doing. Just trust and obey

Philippians 4:6-7
Have no anxiety about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanks giving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

This verse from the new testament is also directing us to be still ( have no anxiety about anything) . Be still and cast your burdens onto the Lord or tell God about your challenges. Once you continue to trust God even in the chaos around you, He will make a way.

Today, make the decision to trust God instead of fretting, worrying or trying to make it your own way.

The Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain
Leave to thy Lord to order and provide
In every change
He faithful will remain
Be still my soul
Thy best, thy heavenly friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end
