Blessed are the pure in heart!!
Psalm 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite heart…..

“The pure in heart” are those whose utmost desire is to be with the Lord. That should be the desire of all humans, considering God’s great love for us exhibited in the great plan of redemption or salvation.

In the verse above, the Psalmist, King David states that God desires a broken and contrite heart, that is, a truly repentant heart.

Scripture says in Deuteronomy 32:4 that

Our God of faithfulness and without injustice, good and upright is He. ( Paraphrased)

One way of looking at this verse is that, God ensures that His own ( the pure in heart) are blessed for being faithful.

Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God

This verse from the new testament states why the pure in heart are blessed. They will see God or experience the power of God in a special way.

Spend time with the Lord as often as possible, reading the word, praying and singing praises.

1. Desire to be in the Lord’s presence always.
