Born to be His dwelling place
Joshua 3:5
……sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, I will do wonderous thing among you.

Born to be His (God’s) dwelling place refers to our union with Christ and His with us, and the satisfaction that flows to Him and to us, because we are in Him.

The verse above stresses the importance of sanctification ( the action of declaring or making something holy) when we desire God to use us or move through us.

Scripture says in Hebrews 12:14 that

We should strive for holiness without which no one will see God.

As God’s dwelling place we are required to be holy in order to be able relate intimately with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you…..

This passage from the new testament says our body belongs to God because, He has bought us with a price, the blood of Christ.

We therefore need to glorify God with our bodies by keeping it holy and undefiled, a dwelling place fit for the Lord Almighty

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Study the bible to know what not to do as a christian and dwelling place of God.
