Break down every idol
Deuteronomy 12:3
And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire, and ye shall hew down the graven images of their deities, and destroy the names of them out of that place. ( Paraphrased)

An idol is the image or representation of a deity or superpower. However, it also possible to create personal idols. Anything that occupies the centre of your attention and devotion is an idol.

Some people make their jobs their idol. They work from Monday to Sunday. They have no time for any other thing. For others it is their car, house, family, money etc.

Examine yourself, do you have any personal idol or idols? If you have, pray for God to help you pull down all these idols you have created.

Jesus said unto them, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind.

All your attention and devotion should be directed to God. Love and serve Him with all you have.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Set your heart, mind and soul on the things of God:
– Pray without ceasing
– Read your bible and obey what it says.
– Win souls for the kingdom of God

Prayer

Lord, please break down
Every idol in my life
And cast out every foe
Then wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
