Cast your burden upon the Lord
Psalm 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

There is a song that says:
Lean on me when you are not strong
I will be your friend
I will help you carry on
……..we all need somebody to lean.

Everyone needs someone to lean on or someone to help him,/her. You could lean on a family member, a loved one, christian brother or sister etc.

But the danger associated with leaning on your fellow human being is that, they are not reliable, they can betray or disappoint you.

The best thing to do is to call on the Lord or cast your burden upon the Lord. As the verse above says, He will never let you down.

Matthew 6:25-27
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment (clothing)?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

The verse above also confirms to t us that it is better to lean on the Lord because He always sees to the welfare of all the things He created.

There are things you can rely on friends and loved ones for like getting their help to complete your chores and assignments etc. But for other serious issues of life it is better to keep trusting God.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. When you need to take a major decision in life, turn to the word of God for direction and pray for God to help you.

Prayer
Amazing God, you are the alpha and omega, the beginning and the ending for all things. Thank you for your grace and mercy. Help me to trust you always. Amen.
