Defender of the defenceless!!
Isaiah 43:1-2
…..I have called you by name, you are mine. When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle on thee.
The defenceless are those who do not have any human protection. That is do not have people of high class or high status protecting them. For instance, in human circles, if your uncle is the Pope then you are well protected.
In the passage above, christians are being assured that we are fully protected by God. Nothing can harm or destroy you.
Scripture says in Psalm 46.1 that
The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of trouble.
You may not have any human protection, but you have the Lord to protect and preserve you. He will fight your battles if you trust Him
Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
This verse from the new testament also assures us that with the Lord on our side we are more than conquerors.
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us ( Philippians 4:13)

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Face every challenge or trial with the attitude of a conqueror or winner.
Prayer
Let this song be your prayer
He can do it, do it better for you
Far more than you can think that He will ever do
He is the Lord
Is anything too hard for Him?
He is the Lord
He has said it and surely He will do
Hold unto your faith, your confession all the days of your life
And you will see the hand of God in your life
