Forgive
Psalm 86:5
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all that call upon thee.
God is merciful and good and He is ever ready to forgive anyone who repents from his/her sin and asks for pardon. The whole plan for salvation was made and implemented to make provision to forgive past, present and future sins.
Matthew 6: 14
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
A christian is supposed to be someone who believes in Christ, behaves like Him and obeys His commands. In the verse above
Christians are being asked to forgive others their trespasses and God will also forgive our sins. It does not matter how painful or disgraceful our neighbour’s sin against us, we must forgive.
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. If you want to be forgiven, forgive others.
2. Pray for grace to forgive people who hurt you, no matter how painful it may be.
Prayer
Faithful God, thank you that you always remain true to your words and promises. Help me to forgive whenever I have to. Amen.
