Give God the honor He deserves
Proverbs 3:9
Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thy increase.

You can honor God by:
-Obeying His commands and instructions in the bible
– Respecting Him
– Serving Him
-Praising and worshipping Him always
– Blessing the Lord with your first fruit or fruit of your increase sometimes referred to as tithe.

God blesses us each day in several ways:
– We begin the day with the gift of life
-He grants us travelling mercies each day as we journey to school or work and back each day
– He gives us our daily bread etc

There are so many other blessings God showers on us each day and we need to give Him the honor He deserves.

A songwriter said
I am nothing without you
Am not ashamed to say
I am nothing without you
An eagle without wings
If I forget about you
I will lose everything….

In Psalm 34:1-2, King David said
He will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in His mouth. His soul will make its boast in the Lord…..

Can you do the same for the Lord?

1 Peter 3:15
But give honor to Christ in your hearts as your Lord; and be ready at all times when you are questioned about the hope which is in you, to give an answer in the fear of the Lord and without pride

This verse from the new testament also admonishes us to give God the honor He deserves.

He has done so much for us, let’s give Him the honor He deserves
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Learn to praise and worship God at all times and serve Him faithfully.

Father, receive all the glory, praise and honor you deserve.
