God is Jehovah Rapha, The Lord our Healer
Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed

The verse above says by His stripes we are healed. That is, it takes care of healing in the past, the present and the future.

In the old testament, He sent the ten plagues to the Egyptians and He also relieved them from them ( Exodus 7, 8, 9 ). Whilst the Israelites were moving from Egypt to the promised land in the desert, He healed them of all their diseases.

When you come to the new testament, He healed the lame, the lepers, the blind, the demon possessed, the bed ridden etc( Matthew 8, 9,)

In Revelations 21 we are assured that in the new heaven there will be no more death or pain resulting from diseases (Revelations 21:4)

James 5:15
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…..

This verse in the new testament tells us what to do when we are sick, offer prayers in faith and it shall save the sick.

When you are sick or your neighbor is ill remember to call on the Lord through prayer and He will heal. But then you should not refuse healing through medication. Combine the prayer of faith and your medications for excellent results. God gave the physicians wisdom to heal .

1. Believe and accept that God is our Healer.
