Daily Word

God is sovereign
Isaiah 45:7-8
I form the light, and created darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the sky pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring together; I the Lord have created it.

God is Sovereign means God has supreme and ultimate power. To me, what proves the sovereignty of God perfectly is that throughout the ages, from generations to generations, the word of God still stands and the power of God has been proved over and over again. Consider the attempt some times ago in Russia and elsewhere to destroy all bibles by burning them. The awesome power and wisdom of God was able to help some Christians smuggle bibles. We still have the bible. Consider the holocaust that was aimed at making the Jews extinct. Yet we still have Jews in the world today. All attempts to destroy the christian faith has failed. This proves that God is awesome.

Colossians 1:16-17
For by Him were all things created, that in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

There is more prove to confirm the sovereignty of God but time and space will not allow me to list everything. We serve a living God, lets seek to glorify His name in all we do at all times.
God be with you.

How do I apply the word to my life?
1. Before you do anything, ask yourself these questions:
– First of all, will it glorify God (make God famous or we’ll respected and loved by all)?
-Will it bring me closer to God?
– Will it benefit other people or harm them?
If your answer to these questions is positive, you can go ahead and do it.

Prayer
Almighty God, there is none like you and there shall never be any like you. Receive all the praise and adoration you deserve. Help me glorify you in all I do. Amen.
