Daily Word

God will exalt you
Ezekiel 21:26
Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

The verse above is a direction from the Lord. It says exalt him that is low and abase him that is high.

This confirms the fact that God hates pride.
James 4:6 says the Lord resists the proud and lifts up the humble. Pride is listed among the seven deadly sins. (Proverbs 6:16-19) It destroys a person completely because it diverts your trust from God to yourself.

But what can a mere man do? You are who you are because of the grace and kindness of God. Do not boast in your abilities direct all praise to God Almighty and He will exalt you in due season.

1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourself therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

This verse in the new testament emphasizes the need for all of us to be humble. It is only when you are humble that God can exalt you.

Humility can be defined simply as not boasting or taking credit for your abilities. Give God all the credit and He will exalt you.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Learn to give God credit for your special abilities and for the victory or successes you experience in life.
