Goodness and mercy
Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Goodness and mercy in the verse above refers to the kindness and compassion of God. When God is your shepherd, your keeper and Savior then His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.
The Lord becomes your shepherd and Savior when you accept the gift of salvation and you are born again.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says
For by grace are we saved through faith, this is a gift of God. Not because of works lest any man should boast ( paraphrased)
Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
This verse from the new testament gives another dimension of the benefits we receive when we have the Lord as our shepherd and Savior.
He supplies all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Beloved in Christ, surrender your life to Christ if you have not done so already. Tomorrow may be too late.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Make sure you are born again because everything in Christianity revolves around salvation or being born again.
Prayer
Think about the words of this song
Jesus said, Here I stand
Won’t you please let me in?
And you say, I will tomorrow
Jesus says, I am He who supplies all your need
And you say, I know but tomorrow
Tomorrow, I will give my life , tomorrow
I thought about today
Tomorrow, forget about, tomorrow
Better choose the Lord today
For tomorrow very well might be too late.
Amen
