Great and Mighty God
Isaiah 40:15-18
All the nations are like a drop in a bucket before you…

“Great and Mighty God” refers to the amazing , power and abilities of God. It also refers to His amazing love for mankind that caused Him to provide salvation for us all.

The verse above implies that, God is so great and mighty that the world and even the universe ( the earth plus the other planets and the solar system) is almost insignificant in His sight.

Exodus 15:11 and a song says that

Among the gods
Among the gods
Who is like you
You are glorious in holiness
Fearful in praises
Doing wonders, Hallelujah.

A wonder is something spectacular and amazing, that has supernatural implications. An example is:
– Jesus turning water into wine
– God parting the red sea for the Israelites to walk through
– Jesus raising Lazurus from the dead

These are things only a Great and Mighty God can do.

Revelations 4:11
Worthy is the Lord our God to receive glory honor and power…..

This verse from the new testament says, God deserves our praise , worship and adoration. In fact, Revelations 4:10 says the 24 elders and all heavenly beings never cease to worship God 24/7. Why?

Because He is a Great and Mighty God. We also have to do the same as ambassadors of Christ. Praising God always will be like a rehearsal. Because someday when we get to heaven we will join the heavenly beings to praise God 25/7.

1. Bless the Lord at all times and let His praise continually be in your mouth.
