He will carry you
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Prophet Habakkuk describes a situation where you have worked so hard, using your time, energy, and money, however it does not yield the desired results. It is very painful. Yet, Habakkuk says he will rejoice in the God of his salvation because he believed that God can turn failure or defeat around in His own way.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.
When you are disappointed do not feel as if all is lost. The verse above says God can put things together both success and defeat in a way that will benefit you. Perhaps, God has something better for you.
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. When you feel disappointed turn to God in prayer and ask Him to help you understand His word and give you the grace to wait for His plan and will to be perfected in your life.
2. Do not be bitter, rejoice, praise and thank God for the good He will do in your life.
Prayer
Almighty Father, thank you that you can do exceeding above what I can think or ask. Let your plan for my life be fulfilled. Amen.
