I go and prepare a place for you
Joel 2:32
And it shall come to pass that, whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

“I go and prepare a place for you” means I am going to get a place ready for you. Jesus added that when the preparations are complete, He will come back for them.

The verse above from the book of Joel talks about what would happen during the second coming of Christ. Those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Revelations 22:20 says

……Surely I come quickly….

This forms part of the few last words that ends the book of Revelations and the bible.

Jesus will come back, prepare for His coming by accepting the gift of salvation and obeying the Lord’s commands.

John 14: 3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you into Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also

This verse from the new testament reminds us of one of the important promises Jesus made to His disciples.

First, He will get a place ready and He will come back again for His own.
Make sure you are ready when He comes.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Accept the gift of salvation and live to please God.

When though, we don’t know when
But the count down is getting lower everyday
