I stand accused
Genesis 39:17
And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, the Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me

There are so many people who have been falsely accused for crimes they did not commit and have to bear the punishment for it .

Joseph faced the same problem in the verse quoted above. He was accused for a crime he did not commit and put in prison. Even in prison God was with him and he found favor with the guards and the prisoners. God miraculous made a way for him to be released and raised to the status of Prime Minister of Egypt.

You may not be imprisoned like Joseph but you might lose favor with men because you are falsely accused.

Do not lose hope, Psalm 46:10 says
Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

God will make a way.

Matthew 5:11
Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of things against you falsely for my sake

This verse from the new testament paints the picture of a christian being falsely accused because of his faith.

Begin the year with the mindset that it does not matter how much you are criticized for doing the work of God. You will do your best as a faithful ambassador of Christ.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Do not engage in hot arguments or debates to defend yourself. Trust in God and continue doing what is right
