Daily Word

If my people humble themselves
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and heal their land

Humbling yourself involves having a modest or low estimate of one’s importance. In other words, it is recognizing that God is all powerful and surrendering our desires and will to Him.

It is important to note that to be able to attract God’s attention and be worthy of forgiveness of sins, you must first humble yourself before God, pray and turn away from our wicked ways as the verse above says.

Then God will hear our prayers and heal our land. The world needs healing in various ways:
– First we need healing from the current pandemic and a total eradication of the disease.
-Secondly, the world economy needs healing. We need to resolve financial issues
,- Thirdly, we need peace and resolution of all political and social conflicts
-Fourthly, our environment needs to be cleared of all toxic emissions from cars and machines as well as emissions or pollution from our industries.

God can and will help us if we humble ourselves, pray and turn from our wicked or evil ways.

John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him

Another important thing we need to do apart from humbling ourselves, praying and turning from our wicked ways, is to believe in our Lord Jesus and accept the gift of salvation.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Each of us should humble ourselves before God, pray and turn away from our wicked ways
2. Accept the gift of salvation if we have not done so already.

Prayer
Let this hymn be your prayer

My faith looks up to thee
Thou lamb of Calvary
Saviour Divine
Now hear me while I pray
Take all my guilt away
Oh let me from this day
Be wholly thine
Amen
