In all things give thanks
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.

In the verse above the Psalmist encourages Christians and children of God to cultivate the habit of thanking God.

It is easy to thank and praise God in good times but in bad times it is difficult to thank God sincerely. Romans 8:28 says that God works all things out for our good.

That is, God puts together both the good and bad events in our life in such a way that it benefits us. Therefore thank God even in bad times for the victory He will eventually give you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you

In thanking God in good and bad times we also fulfill God’s will. Doing God’s will at all times, moves God to bless us.(John 15:7).

1. Learn to count your blessings so that you can give God all the praise and Thanksgiving He deserves.

Meditate on the words of this hymn

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed
When you are discouraged thinking all is lost
Count your many blessings name them one by one
And it will surprise you
What the Lord has done.
