Iron sharpeneth iron
Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the counternance of a friend.
The verse above emphasizes the importance of having a good friend or Christian brother or sister. This person would sharpen you(help you to become a better Christian). He/she would do this by setting a good example with his/her life that you can follow. The person would also advice and correct you when you are going wrong and help you gain your joy and strength when you face challenges in life.
Galatians 6:2 says
Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Another role your Christian brother or sister would play is to help you when your work or assignments at home and in church are too much for you. Do you have a Christian brother or sister?. If you do not have one pray and ask God to help you choose one.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. After you have chosen a Christian brother or sister. Let he/she know the kind of relationship you want to develop.
2. Ideally a man should chose a Christian brother and a woman should chose a Christian sister.
3. Schedule prayer and bible study times together if you can.
Prayer
Loving Father, thank you for your love and mercies towards me. Help me chose and maintain a good relationship with a good Christian brother or sister. Amen.
