It is well
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall there be fruit on the vines; the labor of the olive tree shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The chorus of a hymn says;
……Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, it well , it is well with my soul
It is well, it is well
With my soul, with my soul
It is well , it is well with my soul

The Prophet Habakkuk paints a very bleak picture in the passage above.

The hymn writer says, whatever my lot, whether things fall apart (there are challenges that cannot be solved) or everything is fine, it is still well with my soul.

The Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:11-12 says:
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned in whatever state I am, therewith to be content. I know how to be abased ( live in lack or want, you do not have most of the basic necessities, food, water, clothing etc) and I know how to abound ( live with abundance of all you need and even have luxuries)……

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

In the verse above the Apostle Paul again admonishes us to be content in whatever situation we are, by giving thanks for all the Lord has already done and what He is yet to do
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1.Learn to be content and grateful for whatever you have.
2. Stop fretting, worrying and complaining. God will make a way.

Father in heaven, help me to trust you at all times for help and deliverance.
