Its not a sacrifice, it’s your reasonable service!
Psalm 119:10
With my whole heart I will seek you, let me not wander from your commandments.
“Its not a sacrifice, it’s your reasonable service ”
this expression means that offering your body for God to use is not a sacrifice it is an appropriate form of worship or well- thought out worship that corresponds to the price Jesus paid for our redemption ( reasonable service).
In the verse above the Psalmist expresses his greatest desire as seeking or finding out who God is and abiding by His commandments.
Scripture says in Hebrews 12:4 that
You have not yet resisted to the shedding of blood…
Meaning, whatever God may require us to do as we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice cannot be compared to the price Jesus paid for our redemption.
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God Which is your reasonable service.
This verse from the new testament reminds us that offering our bodies as a living sacrifice to God is only our reasonable service.
It cannot be compared to the price Jesus paid for our redemption.
