Joy to the world the Lord is come
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is borñ, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace

Today is Christmas day! The day that most people have been looking forward to because it comes with exchange of gifts, eating, drinking and making merry. It also has most people buying new clothes, refurnishing homes or getting new cars and new homes.

Everything done on Christmas day should be special. Why all this fuss? Are we celebrating the birth of our Messiah and the victory it gives us or we just want some fun?

The verse from Isaiah reminds us that a special child was born this day. He shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Everlasting Father, Mighty God and the Prince of Peace

We should rejoice with our heart filled with joy on Christmas day, because the Savior of the world was born this day.

Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger….

In spite of His greatness, He was born in a very humble and low place, a stable and placed in a manger.

This I believe was because the Lord wants all people to be able to accept Christ. He was not born to save only the rich but the poor as well.

Joy to the World ! The LORD is COME!
