Keeper of my soul
Psalm 121:7
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul

The human being consists of
-Body
-Spirit
-Soul

As humans we have control of the body we nourish it, clean it, rest it, dress it and protect it as much as we can.

Our spirit is the part of the body that communes with God. We feed and sustain our spirit with the word of God, prayer and fellowship with God and other Christians.

The soul is the part of us that never dies and goes back to our maker, when life here on earth ends.

The verse from Psalm 121 says, God will preserve our soul, meaning, God will keep our soul from harm.

The best thing to do as a human is to accept the gift of salvation and hand your soul over to your maker until that day when we all meet in heaven.

Psalm 124:7-8 says

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the Fowler (the evil one’s traps)……..Our help is in the name of the Lord….

It is only God who can preserve our soul.

1Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

The verse above explains God’s salvation plan and how He redeemed our souls through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Believe and accept the gift of salvation now and become part of the kingdom of God. Only God can ensure that your soul is preserved.

A charge to keep I have
A God to glorify
A never dying soul to save
And fit it for the sky.
