Learn to sacrifice
2 Samuel 24:24
And the King said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing…..

Christianity was built on the foundation of sacrifice. God sacrificing His beloved Son and Christ sacrificing His dear life. What are you willing to sacrifice for God?

I have terrible stage fright but I learnt to sacrifice my pride and self esteem and mounted the stage several times to minister in song. Even if my voice was shaking to show my stage fright and embarass me I never gave up. Sometimes I sang perfectly with no trace of stage fright, at other times I had to struggle with stage fright. But through it all, I believe God was glorified.

King David said, he will not give to God a sacrifice that would not cost him. What do you value most? Is it your time, money, possessions?

You can sacrifice your money by giving to the poor and to the church. You could sacrifice your time by volunteering to do church assignments or soul winning.

Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

The greatest sacrifice is to present yourself as a living sacrifice. This means you will submit your will completely to God and be ready to render service to God no matter what it costs.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Let your Pastor or presiding Bishop know you are ready to serve God by offering whatever service they believe you are qualified to do.

Dear Lord. Thank you for the gift of another day. I am ready and willing to serve you at all times. Amen
