Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me
1Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Most of us are very concerned about how we look on the outside. We choose our clothes, make-up and accessories carefully. Even the men go to salons for grooming, haircut, manicure and pedicure.

It is good to appear “sharp” but the verse above says God is more concerned about how you look inside.

There is a song that says:
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me
All His wondrous compassion and purity
Oh thou Spirit divine, all my nature refine
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me

Let the song above be your prayer as you build and develop your inner man through prayer and the study of the word.

1 Peter 3:3-4
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing gold, or putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price

The verse above confirms the one from
1 Samuel 16. Be more concerned about building your inner man.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Work on looking good always but spend more time on studying the word of God.
2. Do not only read the word, obey or do what it says
