Let us love one another
Eccelsiastes 4:12
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him, and a third cord is not quickly broken

The verse above talks about the strength that love and unity brings. It brings out the truth that what one person can do, two can do better.

Three people can fully conquer because it is difficult to outwit three people working closely together in love.

This implies that it is very difficult to destroy a church or group of people who love each other and are working together to fulfill God’s plan for man. (Fearing God and keeping His commands (Eccelsiastes 12:13).

1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God for God is love.

According to the verse above, loving one another as Christians and children of God proves that we are born of God and know God. This is because God is love. God proved His love for us such that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Think of practical ways you can show love to your christian brethren and all other people.
2. For example you can pray for and encourage a friend using verses from the bible related to his/her problem.
3. Be ready to share your food, money, clothes and all you have with others who need them.

Let this be your prayer

Let there be love shared among us
Let there be love in our hearts
May this love reach all the nations
Cause us Oh Lord to arise
Give us a fresh understanding of brotherly love that is true
Let there be love shared among us
Let there be love.
