Let your light shine
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
Simply put, this verse is trying to tell us to let the word of God put in our mouth (from Isaiah 59:21)
be evident in our life (let our light shine). God has already given you the grace and the strength to make His word obvious in your life.
Matthew 5:16 says
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father that is in heaven.
Making our light shine involves obeying the words and commands of God. This will be seen through the good works we do.
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Be constantly conscious of the fact that you have to let your light shine through your good works.
2. Study the bible and know what you are required to do as a Christian and child of God.
3. Ask God for the grace, will-power, and strength to let your light shine.
Prayer
Faithful God, thank you for the grace, mercy, and blessings you shower on me each day. Help me to let my light shine as you require of me. Amen.
